nope :? not too bothered, just an excuse to get some new ones..what you doing about gauges?? i'm thinking of ordering a double nomad pillar for boost & oil temp then have oil pressure & volts in the middle...

getting well excited about it now...its in such a state, i finally get to start a project of my own & not just have someone elses creation (not that the polo wasnt but i didnt get very far with that!)....obviously engine & turbo wise i couldnt give a toss though lol

cool, i will need to get your mates number off you at some point for a full respray quote...not sure about smoothing or not though :? depends how motorsport i decide to go or if i revert back to euro....

getting a serious kick out of the over run popping :o shame i cant hear the whooshy whooshy as much.

Had a proper look round the car & the first things on the list are (assuming paul doesnt find anything more important)

- Gearbox mount still knocking a bit so needs replacing or sorting somehow
- Tracking is out
- Window regulator is fooked & the other is dying
- Rust spots need attending to
- Big dent on passenger door & a few round the car (could do with total respray
- Engine bay is dirty & air filter could do with changing
- Coolant definately needs a change
- Interior door handles need spraying
- Gearshift gaitor needs pinning down
- Plastic surround around ignition needs replacing
- I've noticed when giving it some it crunches going into third so it might mean the synchromesh is f****d....so at some point a gearbox rebuild
- Oil oil filter, fuel filter & sparks change at some point
