Just wondering, have recently got a polo (first car, love! it lol), and would like to 'flare' the arches like on your newer one; howd you go about doing that and does it make the arches wider (im sure it does)?

Cheers, also cant wait for the updates, would love to do an install/bootbuild but to scared of giving up the boot lol

Basically when someone flares the arch, they'll roll it right up, so there's no lip. Then flare it, which means they'll pull it out, so effectively it is wider. Flaring arches will most definitely crack the paintwork though, from the strain the panel takes. So budget for getting it reprayed after.

Have a look on archenemy.co.uk, I' pretty sure there's some pics on there that'll show you just what I mean.

cheers mate, need to rub down and repaint a few bits so could be useful, will just need to get it lowered first i geuss so it suits; might do it the other way round dependign on money and how much i repaint, 1 or 2 lil dents from when i bought it on the wheel arches as well, and bump strips  so much to do so little time, and money lol
Cant wait till ive got it all done and looks how i want it, still standard at the moment :x

Get it lowered first. It's good for the Arch Roller to see what needs to be done, as appose to guessing approximates.

Plus if your not used to a lowered car and you shank some paint work in the first week of driving it lowered you don't have to go back again.
