After finishing off my big clean on the outside a few weeks ago I decided to do the same with the interior. I wont bore you with the details but basically I went over all the leather with AG Leather Care, Polished all the glass & clear plastics and covered the plastics/rubber in vinyl care.

Mod 2 - Polished Roll Hoops

After seeing a TT with similar style hoops I decided to take the plunge and get the ones off ebay. I do plan on eventually tracking down some Genuine polished hoops but for the price they really do look fantastic!!

Mod 3 - OEM Business CD Headunit

Since buying the car the major let down for me was the headunit, an old tatty Sony headunit that literally was falling apart. To keep things looking standard I tracked down a Business CD unit from ebay. Unfortunately for me the CD player is completely knackered but I fitted it as a temporary measure for radio use and just to tidy up the interior.

Mod 4- Storm Werks Gearknob/Handbrake

Well my next two mods arrived in the post yesterday.

I really liked my old gearstick but these really come as a set :)

Not really mate to be honest. The things i do miss are cheap servicing/sleeper-ness of the Cupra & Boost!! :)

The quality of the car really is next level, a good example of this was on sunday when I decided to clean the leather in the car as I would have done in my cupra...only to realise that all of the door card, majority of the dash and centerconsole is all trimmed!! took me bloody hours!!

I do still have thoughts of getting a mk4 R32 and sticking a large turbo on it (or two!) but i'm not sure I could live with the interior anymore :( plus it would almost feel like a step back..although more power

Whats your plans ? you hanging on to the gti ?

Yeh mate, I can see that just by the pics. Leather looks insanely good for it's age, considering it's on par with golf 3s, and think of the condition of most of the seats coming out of them nowadays!

Almost done mate. Wheels getting done next year, it goes back into the bodyshop on the 14 Sept for a few things touching up, then just some cheap DIYing on interior parts between now and next show season. I'll just be enjoying it until I have enough time and money for my next project then 8)

Yeah it is silly how fresh the car is, I'm guessing it was always garaged etc..

So any idea what the next project will be ? :)

For sure mate. Mark 1 golf (although I am kind of eyeing up the mark 2 also). There won't be a limit on spendature for that one like the Polo though. If i can afford it, i'll do it 8)
