I would mount the relay underneath - dont go extending the horn wiring. Just put it out of waters way and itll be fine.
any negative will have brown in the colour on the wire!

I will have a look if it is easy to pull the OEM horn wire back up so that it is not extended. Just don't like relays low down subject to all sorts of water spray.

Hi, there. Was going to install my horn to day, but i got confused when looking up all the connections i will need.
I now know EXACTLY what im doing and how to go about doing it.
How ever, im looking at the spade connectors for the horn and relay, but i cant seem to find the right ones,
You guys told me to use 30Amp wire and a 10Amp fuse. The relay its self is 30Amp, so what amp connectors should i use?
i ca only find 5amp up to 15amp.
Thanks

If you use a 10A fuse, the current will never exceed that and the connector of 10 is fine.

Is it best to use a 10amp fuse then or a slightly higher rated fuse?
How can you tell what the max amp of the horn is?

The horn will not draw more than 15 amps tops.

If you've got a multimetre, measure the ampage drawn by the horn and check what fuse to put in once you've done that.If not then check the instructions if you have any,it may tell you the quiescent amp rating and the alarm condition amp rating?.

I fitted my horn today and it was very easy as every one said!
Not as loud as i thought though. Fitted the relay u the top near the the head lift and put the horn on the same bracket as the old horn bit facing away from the grill. I used a 15 amp fuse as I had one spare. I found a really good diagram I will put on here and hopefully it will get put in the diy guides. I'm on my Phone at the minute so in cant up load it right now
