Anyone know the show calender for next year? Maybe get a club stand at one of those instead of driving 3 hours to meet in a cold car park for a while?
UK-polos Meet 2010
Re: UK-polos Meet 2010
Birmingham's 2 and a half hours from me. Where ever we go is going to be a bit of a travel for everyone.

Yeh i reckon a show would be a better option, will give us a chance to get numbers up too.
Not to mention Nottingham way is looking close to a 8 hour round trip for us southerners myself and perkins.

8 Hour round trip!! Fooook... Hardly worth it to stand in a car park..

I'm up for a stand. Miles better option than freezing my socks off in a car park I don't know with strangers, haha.

You could wear a big warm jacket? We're not dogging... or are we...?emma_88 wrote:I'm up for a stand. Miles better option than freezing my socks off in a car park I don't know with strangers, haha.

I'm sure that could be arranged....MrP wrote:You could wear a big warm jacket? We're not dogging... or are we...?emma_88 wrote:I'm up for a stand. Miles better option than freezing my socks off in a car park I don't know with strangers, haha.
But in all seriousness... A show next year sounds the best idea! Summer is coming to an end too, so dark nights will be coming in soon

Alex can give us the show dates & locations for next year then we can pick one which suits us all.
Be better for the forum that way, a decent turnout.

Show wins thats for sure,it makes more sense.
My car would have never done so many miles in a day if Derby was the final place lol.

Makes me jealous everytime I look at your progress thread and see how little miles it has done.Bradley wrote:Show wins thats for sure,it makes more sense.

Wish my GTI had less than 40K on the clock, mines nearly reaching the 70K milestone.
It hit 68,000 today in town

They are good for 200K if they are well looked after so theres plenty of life left in her dudeMrP wrote:Mines on 113k...![]()

I think the average mileage for a GTI these days is about 80-85K.
113 still isnt many miles per year though, 11,300 on average which is nothing really.

Re: UK-polos Meet 2010
Im just about to hit 96k on the GTI, and 130k on the mk3. They just keep going
Indeed. When I have a chance, Ill get next years show dates up and we can sort something
We could possibly do a meet early nov/dec time at a weekend earlier in the morning then all go and have lunch together at a decent pub or similar?
