u put a hugely fast engine in a light car and only wanna use it for show? :O sorry but i dont see the point :) i know its quite special n all but 1/4 would have to be on the cards for me :)

no i havnt, i dont really want to let on too much josh.its just the way i am!
urm 8000 sounds about right, but the six speeder was a bit of a nightmare.plus ive had the whole engine polished.

scrap that i found it now.

has it got the loom and ecu fuel pump aswell? basically whats needed for the conversion, also is the 40k miles documented?

yes its documented.ud be able to tell anyways.yes i think we have the fuel pump.i dont have the ecu although i think u can use ur existing one.
did u see my other parts on there?

maybe a performance ecu would be better, depending on price anyone know how much they are?

I am interested in the engine though :) will have to see what price it ends on

yes. ive just emailed sum1 in the knw about whats involved.ill keep u posted.to be honest the 16v has a lot of potential.160bhp ive seen

i wouldnt be modding it i doubt other than ecu, exhaust and induction possibly (essentials really)

Itll still have twice the performance of my 8v :P

Any idea if its the 100bhp or 120bhp model engine? (early or late i think)

100bhp.900 kg and 100bhp is plenty enough, especially if your going to mod it.wish id still got it in my car really, considering the amount of hassle ive had with the 20vt

If I were putting a 16v engine in, I'd rather use the stock 16v ECU so you get "all weather" drivability...

But then that's just me...

yes.the DTA chips can be mapped to best suit your car. its an alternative to finding a 16v loom.
