There are two pipes on these bottles, the small top one is for recirculating coolant I think to allow the system to dump any air back into the bottle area, the big one at the bottom will just be for coolant expansion back up into the bottle during periods of engine use. There is also a shielded hard plastic tube at the LHS which is to allow any air/liquid exiting via the pressure cap to safely be discharged in a safe manner, ie not in your face!
So, if it is that small top pipe, does it need the clip tightened - or has someone accidentally pressed down on that area and cracked the plastic pipe stub part of the header tank/bottle and that leaks when the coolant is up to temperature and so pressurised?
looks like the clip needed tightening more, so i popped a jubilee clip on the bottom pipe and it seems to be working
