I want it on now but still have rent to pay and haven't worked for a while, but moving home next month and going back to the garage for a bit to fund more toys for the car. Top of my list though

Yep back for good now ! well until Sept..
So as of today the weeks work on car is pretty much finished:
Engine bay detail
Remove broken wheel stud
Fit new battery
Fit new sidelight bulbs
Refit clutch cable ( no longer creaks and is much smoother)
Degrease calipers and coilovers
Grease seized coilover helper spring ( so it doesn't ping when turning)
Lower the front by about 10mm

All that awaits is wheels!!

Re: Joe's Gti Progress Thread
Yeah Chris i colour coded them in the old GTI, decided to go OEM with this one. I'll replace the screen wash and coolant tank soon enough. And wheels wise... it's a surprise, hopefully should only have to wait a few more daysGodderz23 wrote:Joe, did you colour code your engine bits in your old gti...?

Luckily im going away for a few days so train it is!
Some progress pictures of my grab handles rattle can spraying to keep you busy...

Pretty happy with the finish thus far, few more days of sanding back and polishing and they'll be perfect.

Re: Joe's Gti Progress Thread
Cheers Guys, they've taken a while thats for sure ! and Nigel, im 90% sure its DIS module related, i haven't had it since we had that really bad rain spell so haven't sorted it out yet. It would make sense that slight corrosion in the connections could lead to problems with high humidity..
