well i've just ordered a vcds cable, so hopefully will be able to find out if there is a fault code showing up for my stereo before i go back to vw for the god knows how many times with the same faults

and make any adjustments i want to the car as i'm sure there is a few

Hi, just signed up today.

I bought a gti on Thursday, it was one what was currently in stock at another dealership (couldn't wait for a factory build!) 3 door, deep pearl, alcantara and discovery nav.

It's going to be a big step from a 2003 Astra 1.8 coupe !

Anyone got any advice or cool tips?

Very nice, I've looked at those they look decent! Is that another GTI peeking in behind as well?

Like the embossed plates too, are they 100% legal? I'd like to get some of the German style plates but there's conflicting info on whether they are 100% legal or not.

As far as I am aware they are. They have the B number on them? I got these from a guy on instagram fullhousecustoms but have used deamonplates before never been pulled on them or had any issues. The ones I have are gel resin plates

Yes that is my girlfriends GTI. She went for the dsg model which it's very very nice to drive!

Just had a call from my dealer and they said it's just about to leave Germany! Should be in Grimsby soon!

Mine got to the dealer today. Yay

Pressed plates are only legal if made from reflective materials, given the number of incorrectly spaced, incorrect fonts, sizes and position of screws I see on a daily basis however, you'd be damn unlucky to get pulled over unless your driving style happened to catch the attention of PC Plod.

I had them try that on with me about my pressed plates even though they're British standard stamped

I think the boat to watch is African Highway. It's in Emden at the moment and its last destination was Grimsby!

I believe the Polos are loaded in Santander back to UK as they are made in Pamplona, Spain. There is a vessel berthing in Santander tonight called City of Paris so I'm hoping this could be one it's loaded on. The next vessel after is not until the 10/03! I managed to get someone from the line I know to send me a schedule!
