Cars looking good greg, be nice to see it in the flesh sometime. New badge on the rear? Not really feeling it personally, I think it clutters up the bootlid and just doesn't flow right, just my opinion though

Badge looks good Greg :)
Not sure on it being underneath the Polo though, I would have thought Polo 6N2 or 6N2 GPI would have looked a litte better because 3 badges does make the bootlid look a little cluttered as Polo96L mentioned.

You can always fiddle around with that though, bet you cant wait to get your hands on Alex's GTI now 8)

Nice little addition Greg, Although agree with what has been said, think I may have removed the POLO and replaced it with 6n2 :)
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments everyone :) I may play about with the position as I must admit it does look a bit to much.

Re: Greg's Silver Polo Progress Thread - Rear end complete

Post by gregperkins »

The rear end is now complete :D

My bro fitted a 'Rage speedmaster' stainless steel twin oval pipe backbox for me this morning that i bought off here earlier in the week. Sounds just right, and finishes off the rear end nicely.

And also taken the 6N2 badge off as i decided I didnt like it.

What does everyone think? 8)

Comments welcome.

Looks Good Greg :) The backbox looks nice & tidy and not too big like mine.

Shame you didnt like the 6N2 Badge, I think it would of worked better if you got rid of the Polo badge altogether, either that or the GPI badge but the back end looks spot on now anyway

Thanks mate :)

I don't want to take the 'Polo' badge off as i think it will take the character of the car away haha, but thanks for the suggestions :)

Looks really nice dude. Not a huge fan of the 6n2 badge. Looking forward to getting the gti? I take it you'll be selling this one to pay for the insurance on it

You will soon get over it when you hit 5,000 rpm in the GTI! 2nd gear acceleration is soo much fun!

Good choice with the badge mate, looks a lot cleaner now. I'd have a small cutout above the exhaust so that it doesn't look like its protruding out from underneath of the car, but obviously this means the standard exhaust won't be very exciting if u return!

Get it lowered on coilovers - Just do it
