It's fairly hard to scratch glass mind you
I would have got less damage taking it to a supermarket lol, it's not the first time they've done it either!

The manager has got some explaining to do!

Me too Andy.
- I tell them not to wash
- I get them to write it on the worksheet and on the tag they attach to the keys
- I've got one of these I keep in the car and hang it from the rear view mirror whenever it goes into the dealers; http://carboncollective.com/product/do- ... -pvc-hook/

Am I being anal? I don't think so. Not been impressed by what I've seen of the dealer's 'car cleaners' efforts, and the dealer knows I don't appreciate their swirl-inflicting attempts at car washing.

So far, they've complied with my request to not touch mine!

Lovely GTI - I do like them in silver

Im surprised they haven't stopped you for running that plate. They are getting so hot on number plate fonts now it's ridiculous

does any know if the coming home lights are programmable on a GTI that hasn't got the auto light function :?:

Joining the waiting room again as I've managed to get a replacement car out of my dealer because of swirl marks

Wow, surely it'd be a lot cheaper for them to send it to a detailed? Failing that a respray of the damage is that bad? Saying that though as a paying customer you should expect the best.

They ain't going to prepare it at all. Ive got a professional lined up to prepare it. And they have tried to correct the damage themselves and just made it worse so I've asked for a replacement

I bought a used deep black pearl 6R tdi from a main dealer a few years ago which had a fairly deep scratch on the A pillar and rear bumper which the dealer said they would fix

When I went to pick the car up, their attempt to fix it left the scratches and surrounding area burned off down to the primer

Needless to say they had little choice but to send it to the body shop and have it resprayed which they should've done in the first place!

Bunch of monkeys calling themselves detailers

How long does car usually take after you have been given a build date?
