It is a good observation firegrafik.
Maybe it's for some aesthetic effect with the new and big rims for the New POLO 2018. (18")
The wheel brake cylinder is the same for both.

However, this means two things:
- The drum brakes of my current 9N3 are still perfect. :)
- The rear discs of my current 6R are magnificents.

Something I noticed at other manufacturers, Peugeot and Renault, is that they seem to have more drum brakes on the rear.
They are a bit more complex looking than the ones on the Polo, they have all kinds of cooling ribs on them. Maybe VW is following the same trend?

ciclo wrote:You can use the T73a/65 BCM pin/wire as power for all your puddle lights, as negative the one already commented for each door. You must use led lights (low consumption) throughout the whole installation in the wire coming from T73a/65, whose total consumption should not exceed 3.5 Amp.

This way you will have your 10 minutes for your door warning/puddle lights to turn off.
Hi ciclo.
just wondering.. when u said the whole installation in the wire coming from T73a/65, is that means every single light in the cabin? means all interior cabin light, footwell, glovebox, door exit/warning light, perhaps door puddle light in side mirror?

since all these coming from bcm, does that means theres no separate fuse? that i cant increase and have to calculate to make sure its less than 3.5Amps?

Im worried as I do plan to install the door exit/warning light, puddle light side mirror and 2nd boot light. [emoji848]

Hey ciclo,

What an amazing build!

I have a 2017 polo eclusive and want to fit the R-line steering wheel. What part number should i search for? And also since it's a 6c will the buttons illuminate as they should?

it will highly depend on your current configuration. could you show us a picture of your current steering wheel?

I'm sorry but for some reason there is no link to the photo in my previous message.

Here, that's my steering wheel. https://i.imgur.com/sIMg3RL.jpg

Not my car but that's the exact wheel. The car is a factory R-line, (R-line Bodykit, sport select suspension, 16inch wheels, 110hp 200nm etc.) WHen ordering the car the dealer offered to fit the "R-line interior pack" which included the R-line steering wheel and black headliner, but I decided not to get it since it seemed to expensive.

you'll need a new airbag too. I got one at home if you're interested, or buy a new one i.e. from eBay
