Hurrah! That's excellent news!
Your car was a week 16 build wasn't it? I'll have to see if my dealer has any updates on mine.
Yes it was. Apparently it's currently sat at Grimsby.
Depressingly mine is still showing as 'in-transit' at present according to dealer.

Found out yesterday that a friend has been waiting 8 months now for a 1.2TSI SEL! His build date kept getting pushed back.
Sorry to highjack this thread but, when did your friend order the 1.2TSI SEL? Also is it a 5 door? I am asking these questions as wife signed up for a factory order 1.2TSI SEL 5 DOOR 6 SPEED a couple or so weeks ago, obviously no more details other than the VW factory order number has been raised, guessed delivery time was 24>25 weeks.

They actually took delivery of it on Monday. Ordered in August. It's a 5 door DSG in Deep Black Pearl. Not many options added (no sunroof or sat nav for example). I've no idea why it took so long, perhaps issues with the DSG gearboxes held it up?

Thanks for that, strange delay that, we are not in a hurry, early delivery would mean a 15 plate late delivery would give us a 65, which is okay as long as the engine was still a 1.2TSI 110PS.

Been told today that mine has been put on a transporter and is heading to the retailer. As the prepping people don't work the weekend and with a bank holiday I'm aiming for the end of next week to get the keys to mine.

Went to the listers garage in Nuneaton earlier to go with a mate as he's buying a new bluegt. They had a 3 door gti in metallic black an boy did it look the bees knees! I'd already had my heart set on white but the black looks so God damn good. Had a Renault clio as my first car which I adored and that was in black. Promised my self I'd never have another black car as it was an absolute nightmare to keep clean! Decisions decisions. What does everyone think? Black or white?

Franklinavfc888 can't choose a colour for you but can recommend Nuneaton Listers, ordered my GTI from there and so far they have been very helpful and kept me pretty well updated

I really don't know why I have unconfirmed build week of 24 then as ordered Feb 13th with only sport button and electric folding mirrors as options. I can only hope the date moves forward when confirmed as otherwise mines gonna be July [emoji19]
