limparka wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2024 2:20 pm Hello Guys!

I would like to change my front fog lights on my Polo 6R 2009. The right one is damaged so I thinking about to change all of them to a new one. Is the Polo 6R GTI Fog lights fits into the stock bumper? I know that the front bumpers are not the same, but maybe the lights have the same dimensions. The lights what I found are the next: 6R0941061F and 6R0941062F. I only have manual fog lights so I only need the light with only 1 bulb.

Thank you for your help. :)

No, will not fit, the shape is different (Polo 6R - additional front lights)
Only fog lights for standard bumper of 6R are: 6R0941061C + 6R0941062C.
However, you may want to consider adding fog lights + DRLs (additional wiring harness will be required) ;-)
Thank you CNK! :) DRL would be great but I only have manual fog light with just 1pc H8 bulb. I read somewhere that if you do not have second bulb in you fog light you can activate static cornering lights. Is this what you're talking about? Or change the whole fog light to another one with DRL and do the wiring? Thank you! :)

The static cornering light and the fog light are the same lightbulb (unless you have bixenon). Whether you can activate it or not depends if the lights are connected directly to the light switch (via fuse box) or to the BCM. Only in the latter case, the lights can be operated as static cornering lights.

Hi iichel! Thank you for your reply. I think my fog light is manual so its conencting to the light switch directly. My BCM is 6R0937087B, so thats an old one too. I dont think its supporting the static cornering light. But what about that CNK wrote? Is it possible to adding fog lights + DRLs with additional wiring and changing the whole light to a DRL one?

I do believe the 087 will support static cornering lights

Hello,

I saw on e bay central, left and right air grill panel glossy black from GTI polo but it says for RHD. My car is LHD. But the numbers seem to be correct or the same for both variants of the car?

Can somebody comfirm that the parts are the same?

yes, only the AC panel is 'sided' since that part of the central tunnel is asymmetric. the top vents and radio frame are equal for lhd and rhd

Thanks. One more question. How tough would be to change manual left and right mirror to the electric one? But without the folding option because I know that I need to change window motors for that.
Polo 6r 2012 lhd. 10 letter in the Vin is C.

Thanks again.

The most difficult about that is probably pulling all the wires. Id say medium difficult

Do you maybe have the part number for 3 door polo? For harness and mirrors it self and buttons?

I do not, I'm sorry, but the mirrors and the switch are the same on 5d if that helps.

Thanks. Are the parts the same if I use parts from 2015 6C model? Also the manual AC model 6C, is it the same as for the 6R? I have a great offer but from 6C model and my car is 6R.

Thanks

Well, you can't use the AC panel from the Polo 6C in the Polo 6R, it won't work (iichel already tested this a few years ago).

Update on beefed up engine mounts.
When i put the left engine mount( transmission mount) litle to no vibration frist day. Days after that no vibration.

Unfortunately my dog bone mount ( lemforder that i changed a few years ago became super soft)

I filled my original dog bone, and mounted it today. Now no klunking, but vibrations when in neutral ( like cold mk2 1.6d)- no vibrations what so ever when driving.
We will see if it will continue to vibrate after few days.
Also the shifts are crisp now.

EDIT:
It's still vibrating like crazy when in neutral, but it feels really good when shifting.

EDIT:
I partially filled the sides of another mount, this coumpound seems softer even after 48h... No vibrations will see for the feel
