it is as modified as the old one but in a different way.. cosmetically its a tip, left right & center things are falling apart...its jabbasports old demo car so nothing was done which isnt a performance mod.

so its perfect for me really, all the expensive engine work has been done, ive got a reciept from oct 06 for 5k for total turbo kit & engine mount rebuild. Also got a reciept for 1.5k for coilies & arbs etc... so i can concentrate on getting it back up to standard looks wise & turn it into a car of my own (the old one was someone elses in my eyes and in order to get the kind of power this has it would have cost a fortune....instead i will treat this to a full respray etc..

i might enlighten people to the full spec later...but i plan on being a tease for now! haha

noooo! the wheels are definately keepers....they look awesome in the flesh! 8)

I'm pretty sure they are actually cupra front lights but i need to sit it next to another to check!

took it to paul (local vag specialist) this evening, he got in it & drove it down the road with a very scared expression on his face, the car has been pulling alot to one side which i thought was the tracking being out & the LSD trying to throw me round an invisible corner...but it turns out that in non-mechanical terms i had an extremely important bolt missing from one side of the track rods? (a big metal thing that does all the steering)....basically the wheel have come off if i carried on driving it!! a bolt later & i'm suddenly realising how fast this thing really is!!!

I'm getting it booked in probably the week after next to allow tomo's polo to take priority...things that are being sorted:

- Gearbox seal weaping (loosing oil) so new seal
- Clutch master cylinder (clutch half fell to the floor this morning)
- Window regulator
- Full Geometry check
- Full coolant system flush

Then when a bit more is saved up over the next month or so:
- Engine is being rebuilt to make the power reliable - new head gasket, uprated con-rods, cambelt, waterpump, all the usual servicing items whilst the engine is out....

As for the spec stani? you show me yours (IC) & ill show you mine!

oh and the gearbox mount doesnt need replacing i dont think as the noise has stopped

Thanks for the comments guys, no regrets at all from me to be honest...i'm so happy to still have a cupra...and something i can really restore & modify!...plus i will be able to keep up with tomo - very important!

ok the spec isnt fully known...as we now know by the bolt incident the guy before me was f**ing clueless...

Heres the important parts:

- Full IHI turbo with all the bits needed to go with (fuel pump, injectors, uprated mounts blah blah blah...so no small change)
- Chargecooler (so very sleeperish) also you can put ice in it & run sub zero temperatures :)
- Peloquin LSD
- FK coilies with all the ARB's
- Electronic adjustable boost - although on low its still faster than my old one :S
- Shorter ratio gearbox
- Brembos up the front with uprated hubs
- Forge 007 DV
- Full SS system with no cat (love the popping)
- Rev limit raised to 8k & boy does it love it, i never used to take my k03s over 5.5 as it had totally tailed off but this just gets more and more hungry!

Lots more stuff....alot unknown (the hubs werent on the spec list given for instance )

So i guess the important thing: 360 ish BHP
