It is incredibly easy to both remove and reinstall the doorcards. I took mine off when I got it rust protected to get best possible coverage.

(I then used the oppertunity to put in the cards from the R WRC interior I had bought now they were off anyways. )

@Martin: can you describe how you removed the door cards? Screws, plastic clips...? Do you have a photo of what the door looks like once the card is removed?

TBH, not really. The BGT is already very quiet and refined, but as I said, I have access to cheap Dynamat, so I did it anyway. I may put the Helix sub in the wheel well one day, so that's why I Dynamatted that area. I would like to do the doors, as I like the 'whump' sound Dynamatted doors make when you close them.

Very useful, thanks. Isn't there any sort of polythene sheet covering the door once you take the card off? Also, is that big black area a hole or a cover? Can you access the outer skin of the door (which is where I would want to Dynamat)?

Yes the big black piece is just a plastic cover you can pop out to get to the inner part of the door.

But the ones I have seen with sound absorbant material on the doors have put it just behind the doorcard. it should work very well.

And other than a few square pieces of foam on the back of the card there is covering. They only use the polythene sheets when there is direct access to the window mechanisme behind the door card. Bot here its still closed off when the doorcard is off.

(I'm tired of writting 'door card' now.  )

OK, thanks. How fragile are the retaining clips on the door card? I have found on other cars that they are often very easy to deform or break.

Nice looking car TheFrog, I'm currently waiting for my 3dr white GT to arrive for a March delivery :D Just had an email today to say that it's moved to step five and on it's way, quick question, how long does it usually take to arrive at the dealers?

Also, do you have a part no for the chrome exhaust trims, they look great and just finish the car off

Thanks...
