Coming Home was set to 0 secs duration when BCM was replaced ... sometimes the simplest thing is overlooked, it happens to everyone, me the first. :lol:

I made a video of the xenon retrofit working by the way :)

LEDs dim
High beam signal works
One LED off in DRL when indicator flashes
DRL only front

yes haha i made a wiring harness for both, so it's easy to switch between static cornering in the headlight and bumper

rosa likes it better in the bumper and until i find some leds that match the color of the xenon well i'll leave it in the bumper.
after that i'll move it to the headlight probably.

i also finally took the time to wire up the electic windows in the back.
thanks polodad for opening a topic

works like a charm.
the key tip is to click out the connector in the b-sill for much easier acces to the connector.
it is all micro timer contacts for the 2 and 16 pin. the power lines are junior power timer.

keep in mind to really use a 30 amp fuse, i've blown out a 20 amp one during testing :oops:

New mods!

New BCM

In order to make the OEM xenon work perfectly, I swapped the BCM with a lot of help from ciclo.
It was easy job, but necessary to work very precise with coding.

I moved from a 088D bcm (Bluemotion with standard halogen headlights and start/stop system) to a 090 BCM and now all works perfect.
On the 088D bcm I experienced some flashing of the LEDs in the headlight, despite all wiring was OEM style installed.

Double reverse light

How to:

On the driver side, there is a double-colour LED. It has a normal fitting and an extra wire.
In the normal fitting, it will do white light. If the extra wire is 12V then the emitted light is red.

I bought it here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/310796888643?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

And then asked for red and white. It was no problem :)

So to do this, a wire from left to right headlight has to be made.

Here is a pin layout for LHD (non-UK). UK is I believe mirrored.
Top is 6R bottom is 6C tail lights.

Image
translation:
stads = parking light
rem = braking
massa = ground
kn = knipperlicht = indicator
achteruit = reverse
mist = fog

To make a wire from left to right, you have to take out the reverse light pin and solder a wire to it.
Guide wire to the other side and insert it in the connector.
Do not put it in the empty pin but do this:
- Open connector
- Move fog to the empty pin
- Insert reverse light wire in the position of old fog light pin.
For 6R this is a junior power timer, for 6C this is a standard power timer.
Please note that if you have 6R with 6C lights with adapters, moving cables in the car connector housing is not necessary.
You can move in the adapter.

This way, the fog will be assessed to the empty place in the connector.
The reason for this is, the loose wire needs to go to fog in order to emit red light.

So now you have the passenger side tail light out, open it (it is a clicking system).
Take out the halogen fog light and put in the LED double color LED.
Solder the wire to the plate that ends in a dead end.
This is the pin that corresponds with the place where you moved the fog light wire to.

Now it is important to test first.
Put the car in reverse and you will see both sides have reverse light.
Put the car out of reverse and turn on rear fog. Now rear fog should light up in red.

If everything works, it can be necessary to turn of canbus error check of both rear fog and reverse.

For equal light color and intensity, I bought two lights and put the same LED in the driver side housing.

Demonstration on my Rosa Line.

Planning a new Mod!

Low screen washer water level sensor
(part of the OEM winter package)

Needed:

1x Screenwash Sensor: 7M0 919 376
1x Plug for Sensor: 7M0 973 202
1x Rubber Seal: 7M0 919 382
1x Sensor Plug uses repair wire: 000 979 133E
1x Cluster Wire use 000 979 009E
1x Loop for attaching to Earth Point
2x seal 357 972 741B

It is also possible to make the loom using wire and crimp terminals of course:
2x N 906 844 05
1x N 907 647 01

source and credits to:
http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/26 ... ing-added/

The GF ran out of washing fluid and better to be safe than sorry :)

The cluster terminal T32 has a pin for the sensor, it is pin 17.

Activate with VCDS
Instruments, byte 1 bit 2 -> active

So I decided to go big.
Also install the headlight washers. Since it's a requirement anyway for the xenon headlights.

The plan:
Make wiring harness myself.

Just to confirm with a looking eye from tothers:

Image

7M0 973 202, connector to level sensor
1J0 973 722 A connector to the washer pump <- this partnumber i'm not sure about
1K0 951 253 relay

i'll put the relay in another empty socket holder.

just to check the relay wirings:
85 to bcm white pin 49
86 to fuse box pin 46 (20 Amp fuse terminal 15)
30 to fuse bux pin 46 (20 Amp fuse terminal 15)
87 to the washer pump pin 2

and a wire from the tacho pin 17 to the sensor pin 2.

then at the sensor:
pin 1 to GND
pin 2 to tacho pin 17

and at the pump
pin 1 to GND
pin 2 to the relay pin 87

so the windscreen washers are installed

i had to change:
- bumper
- washer water bottle

it all works :)

next step is the automatic headlight leveling.

all the wires are in place
sensor is ordered
module is ordered

just need to find:
- the 'holder' on the axle. i've seen them on OEM xenon polos (the brake line goes through it) but the dealer can't find it in the system
- pin layout for the sensor on the rear axle (ciclo, my guardian modder, do you maybe have the wiring scheme with colors?).
there are two wires going through the floor under the rear seat, just need to insert them correctly in the sensor :)
