When you said the tool was very expensive I thought… oh how much could it be it’s just an ignition coil puller tool. My local VW parts dealer wants $480 AUD for it LOL. The Chinese copies will work just nicely, my slightly more expensive Laser Tools (a UK tool provider) sells what looks a lot like the China knock off ones on ebay, maybe Laser Tools have now changed their supplier for that tool from Europe, to China!

I bought my tool from AliExpress for about £10. I posted a picture earlier in this thread. Maybe I was lucky, but it looks just like the pictures of the genuine VW tool, and works just fine.

Like I said, I'm sure it will, not exactly a bit of rocket designing went into these, so easy for a 3rd party to produce.
