black with black alloys look stealthy

I've been told - 30 - 40mm which was kinda what I wanted to keep the std shocks....... But thats only what I've been told but they aren't std so anything would be better than on stilts - the price appealed to £21 isn't much to risk - just can't go out on the beer this week
You're damm right about black with black (phew) although I'd be pulling em apart again and satin blacking the rims too so it was completely stealth

Don't badges finish things off
Wheel bolt caps will - hide the bolt heads - hopefully they will arrive soon

Bargain price in the first place and an excellent refurb. It almost inspires me to start my RSs...
I like your car all round, subtle, inexpensive mods (bargain price for the splits!) that work well together

Update
So picked up the springs the other night and the MKV lights too
Planned to fit the lights yesterday but "she" wanted to go shopping
All it's done today is persist down so thought I'd prepare the ground for the post on before and after shots
I took the springs down to my local place to be shot blasted and powder coated (black as I've never been a fan of "Red" springs) - the pic below is before (they looked a lot worse in the flesh with lots of rust on the lower edges of the coils)
Should pick em up on Friday and I'll add to this post a piccy of the finished item

They were fitted to a 16V MKIV drops it 30-40mm I think - No idea make or spec but the coil arrangement made me believe they were at least semi progressive..
If "you" look like my motor - I'm very worried
If your car looks like mine then I'll take that as a compliment if I got there first or vicky verci if it's the other way round

Sorry for confusion - they were 30-40mm lowering springs for a 16V - mine is an 8V so I think it'll drop it a bit more as the 8V is higher to start with

Ahh well you are in a difficult position
Cheap option - still requires effort (so no good if lazy) is can satin back paint and mask them up and give em a blow over.....
Rim polishing is a twating job if they aren't splities

And heres one with badges and lug nut covers
I reckon they would work well on silver wheels too - cheap only £6 for the set from vagparts
