Looking forward to the pics guys.
Taking this a stage further, I noticed that there is no under bonnet insulation on the Blue GT, as there is on other models such as the SEL and Bluemotion versions. I noticed this first after a run when I put my hand on the bonnet and it was very hot. Any ideas if the under bonnet insulation from another Polo model will fit as well ?

I think some bluegt have bonnet insulation. Mine don't have it but I'm planing to install it.

You can always tell when an Audi cover has been smoothed, filled and painted, I have a TTS cover on my Ed35 and you can sometimes see it
I'll post some pics when it arrives
Ok. Thanks, I will order also VW one.

The Bonnet is identical on all the Polo's. So that shouldn't be a problem.
BUT... I just had a look through ETKA. And there are three different choices of insulation for it. Not sure if this is just because there is three different suppliers or there are any other difference...
The numbers are:
6R0 863 831 B
6R0 863 831 C
6R0 863 831 D
Also ten of these clips are needed:
1H5 863 849 A 01C

B...diesel-turbo diesel-carburetor,
C... top sports-aluminum,
D... i do not know.
For example:

Found a page that says that
B is;
up to 03-03-2010 and
C is;
from 31.05.2010.
The aluminium heatshield on the one from aliexpress is useless on a BlueGT because it has the exhaust and off cause the turbo aswell fitted on the back of the engine towards the cabin. So I think the
C should do fine since the turbo is fitted so far down that a heatshield is not needed to protect the insulation.

Letters at the end of the p/n are revised parts. B is an improvement of A etc.

further more... That insulation is actually made to absorb sound... So maybe people who have a problem with the way the BlueGT engine sounds should consider it...

What bluetooth kit are you using?
I'm planning VW 7P6 035 730 K since it's for an iPhone and don't have rsap (don't know if the Premium add something more).

No BlueGT's came with sound insulation from the factory.
