Grills all went back on today blacked, not much of a difference on the photo but looks a lot meaner in real life compared to the previous darker grey colour they were.
Also did the back badge black too

another teeny update - the yellow tinted fogs have gone now, felt they stuck out too much from the colour scheme.
Replaced them with some purple ones. The gloss black grill and fog surrounds show a bit better on this photo

Coming on well James

I was never a lover of the yellow fogs even though they are the trend. The purple tinge ones look much better.

Thanks! Felt they didn't suit anymore with the theme and yellow seems a bit over done now!

So I've set myself a few objectives and plans to get through in time for the Edition 38 show and shine at the end of August
Plans are as follows:
1. Finally get it sitting on some larger prettier shinier purpler wheels (to come next month)
2. Smoothing: Smooth out the plate recess on the front bumper, remove my vinyl wrap on the roof and smooth out the roof aerial and respray it gloss black and potentially smooth out the boot handle - what are peoples opinions on this? Here's one done -
http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 4073_n.jpg (coming early/mid August)
3. Interior: I want to make an aesthetically pleasing boot build, right now I'm just gonna take my active sub apart and display the components nicer and neater but I might add more if finances allow. The other plan I want to try and get done in time is a full retrim of my seats - I'm thinking black leather with purple stitching, since interiors expensive I'm gonna have a word with my Nan as she's a dab hand at sowing and has done many fancy wedding dresses and curtains etc so hopefully she'll be able to help out! (mid/late august)
Anyway there's gonna be a lot coming over the next few months so stay posted! - Also as aforementioned any opinions on the boot smoothing will be much appreciated as I am in two minds as I like it stock and smoothed but can't work out which more!

I like the smoothed rear look. The boot pop would be a fun feature on it too. Has to be done well though as I've seen a few abortions on smoothed cars. Love the idea of the purple theme too. Some LM reps with purple centres and chrome rims would look gorgeous.

I reckon purple door cards and armrests would look good too. Thought about deep red for mine and I've done a bit of re-upholstery before and it would be quite easy to do these.

im the same. i like both looks on polos, but if your going for the smooth boot then you definitely need to do it properly and actually be able to open your boot from the outside!

Thanks for the advise!

I reckon I'm gonna go for it on the boot - something different. Theres a garage local to me that are really good I'm gonna get it done with them.
I did think LM reps but someones already done it on the 6R, it's either BLQs, some really gorgeous concave monoblocks I've found or TT comps.
The door cars and armrests would look good I'll give them a go too! I was gonna dye my seat belts purple next week
