Are there any Polo models that don't have long lead times, or that can even be delivered from stock?
I'm thinking of replacing my ageing 3-door Fiesta with a new Polo this year, because I now need to carry multiple passengers often. All I really want is an SE 1.0 TSI 95PS Manual. I'm not bothered much about the colour, although I'd prefer not to pay extra for paint. I might be prepared to pay for a SEL 1.0 TSI 95PS Manual if that has short delivery times. I want Front Assist and a spare wheel, but I believe those are standard on all models.
If you have a Carwow account (or create one), you’ll be able to search the new unregistered stock of Polo 1.0 SE 95ps models at Carwow dealers on the Carwow website.

I searched Carwow last year for a new Polo GTI+. Came back with a few discounted offers. Fortunately my local dealer offered the best discount. Better than I was expecting given how new the car was at the time. Went and ordered it a few days later. They also offer gift incentives after you take delivery. A meal voucher for two was the last one if I recall after collecting a new Up. Don't know what I'll get when I finally take delivery of the GTI+.

I’ve had a update from VW this morning. My build starts week 35 (26 August).
Long wait I ordered my VW back in February 2019.

Ordered my RHD Polo R-Line in January, received it in late June! Was told I was looking at about late July/August for delivery so when they called in June I was chuffed!

Just got my 5a for build week 32. Getting closer. Think when I started tracking how long it was set at 190 days, it's now down to 71 but at this rate it could be early. Good luck everyone waiting.

Car ordered on 12 August. Factory build in blue with a couple of extras.
Just received order number so I can track progress on App.
Dealer amended an existing pipeline order so unconfirmed build week is 43 - 21 October.
Maybe it’ll arrive for Xmas.
I was bracing myself for 2020.

I think "bracing" yourself is far safer than "holding your breath"

I ordered my White GTI Polo Plus on June 22nd 2019 build date is week 36 which I think starts 1st September 2019 so been told will be in UK by end of October 2019

When I bought the car I was told up to a 12 month wait so I’m very happy with the delivery time. I still check the App twice a day to see if its switched to number 4 !! As I said on another thread I’ll be gutted if I have to pay the additional 10.8 % brexit tariff if the car is still in the water after November 1st
Options I selected.
White (toughest decision)
18 inch wheels
Beats sound system
Panoramic sunroof
Climate control
Deep iron dashboard pad (still not sure if this was wise)
Park assist steering
Rear view camera

Don't be disheartened if the tracker doesn't change, it's normally way out. When I collected my car it still said 'In Transit'.
Great choice on the White, it looks brilliant! Just a nightmare to keep clean.

Great choice I also opted for the iron dash inserts and climate. Is the 10.8% price increase guaranteed as my dealer wasn’t sure?

My dealer said she doesn't think anybody really knows what's going to happen yet so sit tight.

It's a worst case scenario. As the biggest single market for new cars on Europe, I think they want to keep selling German, French, Spanish and Italian cars to us without disincentive due to import tariffs.

Been told week 36 for build on a R line with extras. I for one will not pay any price increase. They can keep the car. Don't really think anyone is going to pay extra surely
