Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Hola Ciclo!
Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your amazing car mods, it's an inspiration!
I've some questions about your automatic lights mod:
It seems that you used repair wires (000979009E) to connect to the new 10-pins light switch housing (8E0971980), despite the fact that the old 17-pins light switch housing (1J0972999) uses different cross-section wires.
How about the connections to the BCM (pins 1 and 37) and to the relay housing (4H0937529), which wires did you use?
It seems that I can use the same repair wire to connect to the BCM, and the repair wire 000979023E to connect to relays pins 1 and 2... for pins 3 and 5 couldn't find anything.
Could you please help?
Thank you and feliz navidad!

Hi rmps. Festas Felizes! Eu aprecio o seu comentário.
To tell you exactly what kind of wires you need, I have to know what is the "model year" of your Polo.
Tell me the tenth letter of your VIN: http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 09#p478942
In the diagram that I share with everyone , you can see the thickness of the cross section of the wires, look on the final page of this installation guide.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... edit?pli=1
BCM:
Pin 1: http://www.a4-freunde.com/attachment.ph ... 1353&stc=1
Pin 37: http://www.a4-freunde.com/attachment.ph ... 1415539780
Repair wires OEM that go to adapter relays 4H0937529 are not sold on VW because they have different contact pins at each end, so I can not say an exact reference.
In any case, for 4H0937529 you need this type of contact pin (depending on the thickness of the cross section of the cable): http://www.a4-freunde.com/attachment.ph ... 1415009194 , http://www.a4-freunde.com/attachment.ph ... 1416146148
On this website you have the references of the contact pins: http://www.a4-freunde.com/showwiki.php? ... zu+gehoert
----------
I guess you know that I sell the wirings for automatic lights. http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 09#p478298
By the questions you ask me about wiring automatic lights, my recommendation as a friend (not as seller) and due to the extensive experience with other users in this forum and many other forums around the world, you would make a good decision if you buy the wiring for automatic lights I sell.
-The car lights are very important for your safety.
-You will save lots of time and especially money.
-All wirings automatic lights that I sold, work perfectly... forever.

I do not provide technical support for this: http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 95#p483697
I apologize, it's too long to explain.
The installation guide is correct.

Muchas gracias, Fernado!
I did built a plastic connector to the original 17-pin light switch housing (1J0972999) - something like the rear end of the original light switch, so that I don't have to remove any wires.
Best regards,

It's a C - MY2012. With original xenon lights and rain/light sensor.ciclo wrote: To tell you exactly what kind of wires you need, I have to know what is the "model year" of your Polo.

That's the diagram I'm talking about. For instance, you have a 0.5 mm^2 cross-section wire from pin #4 of the new 10-pin light switch housing (8E0971980) conecting to pin #1 of the original 17-pin light switch housing (1J0972999), despite the fact that the original wire connecting to it have 2.5 mm^2...ciclo wrote: In the diagram that I share with everyone , you can see the thickness of the cross section of the wires, look on the final page of this installation guide.

Both with 0.5 mm^2, I suppose. I didn't find any schematics with those connections...ciclo wrote: BCM:

Unfortunately, when I bought all the parts (except wires) I didn't know about your kit. I saw a similiar diagram in the french Polo 6R forum before I found this one.ciclo wrote: I guess you know that I sell the wirings for automatic lights. http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 09#p478298

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Hi Rul,
With your permission:
Let's take this issue as an example of the hundreds of messages I get on my email requesting information about automatic lights wiring, but this time so that it can be read to everyone.
1- Model Year.
Your POLO 6R is "C", then your first mistake is that you bought the wrong adapter relays (4H0937529). Consequently, also the contact pins or wire repair.
The right for your model year is 8E0937527 for a perfect installation (OEM).
2- Cross-section wires.
-This is the most important part of the whole manufacturing process of the wiring. It is not correct any wiring purchased at any store, it must be specific to automotive.
Not all cables have the same technical specifications even if they have the same dimensions. You will prevent your car is on fire due to excessive heat in the wires.
-From (old pin1) 2.5mm2 to (new pin4) 0.5 mm2:
The new light switch is electronic and all light switching processes are controlled by the BCM or relays, so it is not necessary that electrical consumption go through the light switch.
3- Electrical diagram of the French forum is incomplete, it comes from a diagram of the German forum (Master2b) that is not entirely correct.
-I had to correct so that all lights work correctly in all POLO 6R with different BCM.
-VCDS coding from French forum is not valid for all POLO 6R.
Lest anyone get angry:
The manufacturing process shown in the french forum (as you already know) is not with original parts, however, it is much appreciated by me that people show their work with the intention of sharing.
Justice: Diagram owned by Master2b already existed elsewhere but in a better way... It was enough to look at the Elsawin in the right place...
Nonetheless, everyone should thank Master2b his work, was the beginning of the automatic lights for Polo 6R...
If you want a perfect wiring (only wiring)... contact me by PM. «I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse»
AS I said: you will save lots of time and especially money.
Show us a picture of the plastic connector 17-pin female you've made.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
hello ciclo,
i have polo 6r 1.4 highline (no bluemotion) manua garebox an bcm 6R0 937 087 D right now polo 6r highline, fog lights, cruise control, climate control.
I have no rainsensor and no automatic mirror that dims and no automatich lighting offcourse.
Can the rainsor and automatic mirror can be installed with my current bcm? I found a new window of a polo bluemotion 6r with rainsensor will this fit on my polo (i don't have a bluemotion).
Which bcm i need for the the automatic lights precisely? I found one on the internet 7H0937089F from a seat ibiza 2011 will that work? http://www.onderdelenlijn.nl/upload/onl ... SR20-1.jpg
i like to order your kit offcourse but first i want to make the new BCM to work before i start with the wirring.
greetings,
Sander

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
It's a bit sad that Ciclo's excellent build thread has been turned into a "questions to ciclo thread".
Maybe there could be a seperate thread for that (If ciclo is interested of course) so this thread could be a normal build thread.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Hi sanderb,
Beware, this is a very delicate process !!
My experience: I have a BCM High 7H0937089F from factory on my R-line for xenon headlights, but I tried to install a "used" BCM Max 7H0937090 from a Skoda Rapid.
After encode everything correctly, basics settings (not sure if this was necessary), adaptation of keys, etc ... I was not able to make will work properly the instrument cluster, consequently there were detected faults in other units for this reason. These units were working properly.
VCDS autoscan with this BCM Max:
I went to the VW dealer to adapt this BCM Max in my R-line. With its New diagnostic tool (not VAS 5054) and via online with factory (told me them) they were unable adapt this BCM in my R-line.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
You're absolutely right my good friend Martin, I would have a better organized thread.Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:It's a bit sad that Ciclo's excellent build thread has been turned into a "questions to ciclo thread".
Maybe there could be a seperate thread for that (If ciclo is interested of course) so this thread could be a normal build thread.
In any case, I'm guilty of this.
I take this opportunity to tell you I bought a pair of LEDs for indicators and one for reverse gear. Just to test how they work.
Also I have another mod to test, but it will take a month of tests. After I will upload some pictures in my thread, but I will not say I've done.
Just like last year: Glædelig jul og Godt Nytår 2015
"Happy New Year 2015 to all".
