Forgive my ignorance but explain the what the induction kit does as I'm very clued up in aesthetics and looks but not too much engine talk!

its all to do with air intake into the engine. allows cool air in and provides a slight performance upgrade. gives a little more of a roar too. im looking to get one for my polo soon too!

there are quite a few on the market but BMC seem to be a good quality make as they prevent heatsoak from the engine, but still have a cone shape filter so means more noise! or you can just replace the standard panel filter which is what I done first off that was also a BMC, bout £40 and after that I just wanted more noise and induction suckage of air :D.
BMC CDA is a common on for the VW's plus its carbon looks.
but i think a few on here fun the jetex cone filter but cant comment on that as I havent had one, think thats one for the GTI's :P , although mine is for a gti but you can always make any induction kit fit a car virtually with a few elbows and reducer pipes.

debateable if a £10 one will give any gains lol but that is one way of doing it..prefer to go with a make.

Induction kits don't give a noticable power gain but they allow more free spool up of the turbo making it feel less laggy
