Hi Ciclo,

Sorry I could not reply. I am ok thank you :) I had to rush back home to Hungary due to a family issue. It was a very adventurous trip considering EU lockdowns and various restrictions especially with Uk registered vehicle. The past few days I had no chance to go on the net.

What you did is awesome. I cannot wait to start the job although I still waiting for my terminals I ordered.

I am fully onboard now please PM me with details.

Hi Limalex, I am glad to know that you are doing well after your sudden pilgrimage.

I have decided to maximize your wiring looms, adding the wires corresponding to the Low beams and the DRLs.
I show you them in images to be installed:

I add more fuses as a gift.

These wires must be correctly taped together with the high beam wires (shown on previous page).
Use the Tesa cloth tape that I send you (25m x 2.5 cm).

In this way, your manufacturing obligations are limited to step 1 (BCM supply). You already have the CAN lines installed.

It is difficult to establish a price for all this (a lot of ticks; taxes, fees, packaging, etc.), so you are going to pay 111 euros in my Paypal account. EUR to GBP
If it is ok for you :?: , let me know here so I send my email to your inbox and you contact me by this email for the payment and shipping processes details.

Hey Limalex, a short story. :)
Sorry to tell you that sadly I could never sell you THE BEST UPDATED original-genuine auto light switch for the PQ25 platform in case you want to buy it from me. Apart from the one I have installed in my 6R, I have one reserved for me as a spare part, this one...

.... and I can't sell it to you because I prefer to give it to you.

I included it along with your wiring looms in the package shipment I made to your address.
I'm sorry I ruined this little surprise I had in store for you.

I also wanted to inform you that I have already carried out the action that you recommended to me, ... due to your great generosity (you know).

---
If anyone wants to buy this switch model for the PQ25 platform whose knob is updated to the current models, this is the only place/site I have found where they can currently buy it: https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/ ... -model-of/

Or you can also buy a copy of this light switch here:
- https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001 ... web201603_

The irony of life, copy high-quality products made in your own country.

I only recommend buying the ORIGINAL one (labelled) for reasons that I already mentioned in the forum some time ago.

Note:
- Do not buy the switch models for the MQB, PQ26 platforms, they are similar but not the same.
They do not work or fit properly on the PQ25 platform. Example  https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3230570 ... web201603_

I am over the moon. I still smiling while i writing this reply.

That was the last part what held me back. I do not know what to say really.

I have feeling that I still owe you a lot.

Thank you Sir! :)

So we have the same feeling, I think you deserve more.
A good deal is when both parties win and lose something, what we "lost" is something perfectly replaceable, what we are gaining is irreplaceable.

Thanks to you!

Hi Ciclo, some status update.

Well exiting day. I hate to remove those terminals they are pain on the ar.... I installed the connector for the CC emulator and I had to re install most of the terminal because I broke them.

All the wires in to the right location hopefully but some issues come up

-Bulb fault light on again
-Cannot calibrate Steering Angle sensor for some reason. Keep shoving zero on Advanced measuring blocks
-High beam always on when the switch is Auto mode and the Low beam mode
-Some other faults come up too.

Here is the scan

Re: VW T5.1 Caravelle BCM Upgrade

Post by ciclo »

Hi Limalex, thanks for the status update.

New BCM coding:
A0B279B82E61241393288ED06CEB8EDD5080612F60846040300003020800

- Remember that you must have the BCM 54 adaptation channel enabled (from 0 to 1) for your 7E0 Stalks to work.

Enter this new coding, visually/physically check the operation of all lights.

Note that the SCLs will not work until the G85 sensor issue is resolved.
The first suggestion I can make regarding this G85 sensor issue is that sometimes the locking mechanism of the T41 connector is not fully engaged and this causes faults similar to those detected. Check and press a little harder on the large white plastic pin on the T41 connector locking mechanism.

Clear all DTCs, post a new Autoscan with this new BCM coding.

---
- This new basic coding of your BCM Max (as a starting point) is like a functional test, if necessary it will be modified again due to the type of lamps installed.

- It would have been better to focus first on the BCM Max - 7E0 Stalks installation and then on the CCEmulator. The accumulation of faults due to errors made during the electrical installation (physical part, tangible) can lead us to make mistakes when trying to solve problems.

I knew I should not have started the CCE installation. I had a little argument my self and my lazier self won the battle.
I wanted to save some precious time, but here I am I need to remove the steering wheel again

I will check the T41 connector and try the coding before work today and report back

I would have a couple of questions regarding the CCE installation If you do not mind. :)

I found a topic on the T6 forum https://www.t6forum.com/threads/guide-h ... ccs.17541/ I was only searching because I got new T6 BCM and MFSW buttons now so I thought there must be some differences on wiring. and the horn was operated with the CNL too

According the author T41 pin 11 wire need to be removed because it would sound the horn when pressing CNL.
He also says
Pin 10 wire needs splicing into the wire to pin 36 in the BCM connector T73b
I remember I asked you before and you said it should stay on pin 17, but he also says the horn will be operated by LIN Bus. I assume via coding.
According to the wiring diagram both pin 17 and 36 is LIN Bus but with pin 17 horn not working if the T41/11 removed for sure.

The code he supplied on the forum is the following
Set Byte 29, Bit 6 Tells the BCM to use pin 36 on T73b for MFSW LIN Bus
I assume that would make the horn work again. There are some others but I think they are irrelevant. I did not used this yet as my CCS still using the pin 17 location but as the T42/11 removed and I got no horn at the moment.

Can I somehow implement a code to make the horn work?
Should I refit the T41/11 brown/yellow wire and move the other end to T73b/36 and do the coding?

A long time ago when I discovered the function of Byte29 Bit6 we tried to operate the CCS/ACC buttons on our 6R, T5 (Adam87) by the LIN 36. Everything is written here in the forum.

Everything worked fine, including the horn, except what we were looking for ... the CCS on the steering wheel buttons.
I discovered that the CCS did not work because the SW of the ECU was not the appropriate one (logically). The appropriate SW had to comply with the Euro6 emission standard (the T6). 6R, T5, etc ... that are prior to 2015 comply with Euro5 or improved standards.

Then there was someone here in the forum with a T5 who was fortunate (due to compatibility) to flash the SW engine and other units to install the ACC, OEM way. A nice but hard and expensive job.

Later, some engine that was installed in the Polo Sedan that was sold in Russia (6R - PQ25 family) had the appropriate SW to install MFSW with CCS (by LIN 36).

For us (6R) we had no chance to find the appropriate SW. iichel made several attempts to get ACC to work on his 6R.
And this was the reason for the CCEmulator ...

With Slavik's CCEmulator everything should work fine if you install it as directed. You neither need nor can use the LIN 36 at all.
Returns everything to the original state if you have followed any step indicated in the link to the T6 forum ... (I reserve my opinion to name what is written there).

On the other hand, and although the driver's airbags of the different VW models of the same years of construction seem the same, they are not, some lack of one ground connection and are not suitable for PQ25. This causes the horn to not work and other problems.
Airbag wiring must be appropriate, not all are wired the same way.

---
I would prefer not to continue talking about MFSW, you cannot imagine how many times I have argued about it.
I wonder if you have the Slavik's CCE (the best) what the h.ll are you doing looking at those links ...

Ok I see. I only removed T41 pin 11 because of the horn but it was before I started fitting Slavik's emulator.

I think dnoermann was the guy you talked about. I was thinking to retrofit ACC but for me not worth the money. Sometimes those sensors annoying. I drive lorries on a daily basis and in bad weather they useless. ACC would put us closer to driverless car feeling and just to think about the possibility of that make me mad.

I checked the t41 connector and you was right. The lock was not engaged properly. I could have refit the pin 11 wire, but now it too late. I will do it when I going to finish the emulator fitting.

The new code made some improvements, High beam switch working. I could not test cornering function yet.

Day Time Running light bulb faulty so I have to replace that, but low beams operating fine. As for AUTO HVAC I got no idea what that fault could be. I might interrupted some wiring when I worked at the fuse holders. I will check that too.
