Great pictures, much prefer seeing real life photo's rather than edited promo stuff.

Similar spec to mine, very nice.

Looking good in white, all these pictures are keeping me entertained while I wait for mine to be built :) where about are you all from? I'm up in the Northwest of England and I've yet to see a new GTI on my travels makes me think that they're a rare car so hopefully they should hold their value pretty well!

What are you guys getting MPG wise on the motorways? I do 60 mile round trip which is a mixture of motorway driving and some occasional snarled up a roads!

I think we'll see more of them on the road than the previous model. Manual /DSG choice will make them more popular for a start. I've seen a white one in Stratford upon Avon and yesterday I spotted a silver one in Leamington Spa.

I managed to average 48.1mpg on a 110 mile journey last weekend, mixture of speeds. Pretty pleased with that and quite surprised.

I very rarely see any Polo GTI around here in Lincs, never mind the new one!

I don't think they will sell in big numbers in ether manual or DSG, the Polo GTI has just never been a big seller in any series has it?

Unfortunately, I don't think rarity seems to translate into firm residuals, as my recent trade-in offer demonstrates...

I know you get more selling privately, and a carefully used Polo GTI is an attractive proposition for a lot more people than a brand new one.

I guess the reputation of the DSG and twin charger engine will not help residuals of the 6R either, so the 6C should fair better in that respect though.

Tooks could be right and the GTI doesn't sell in big numbers again. With the 6R I quite liked them being a rare sight on the road and will be happy that happens with the 6C.

Does the GTI come with front footwell lighting? It's one thing I forgot to check.

Picking mine up on Friday :D

Tbh every polo gti has been a fairly rare site on the roads as there have always been "better" cars out at the same time.

6n2 = saxo vts/ 106 gti
9n3 = Renault sport clio
6r = corsa vxr
6c = fiesta st

The polo will always play second fiddle to the golf, that is why the polo always has it's wings clipped.

Yes - I think the GTI represents something like 3% of all Polo sales, so as has been said - extremely rare. I have only seen 1 of the new 6C Polo GTI, and truth be told, I probably see more Aston Martins being driven around than Polo GTI's! :shock:

I think it is good though to have a car of such 'rarity', although again (as mentioned above) it does not necessarily translate into stronger residuals! Buying one though, the sales guys will say it will really hold its value because of its rarity! :)

Blimey, knock me down with a feather. Seen another one tonight, red like mine but without the pano roof I think. It was driving from the Kenilworth area towards Leamington Spa. (Are you on here, was that you?)
2 in 24 hours , never saw that many 6R's in 6 months.

Crikey, 6C GTI Central where you are!

I still haven't seen one, except for the one I had a test drive in.

I remember seeing my first Polo 6R GTI, with Xenons, in dark blue and thinking what the heck was that?! I had no idea the Polo 5 had taken such a leap forward from previous, and it led to me buying one.

I keep going to the configuration page on the VW website to spec a 6C mind...! :D
