I sat in the new Golf 8 and I had to say, it took me a while to get used to the new steering wheel.
But anything you have to get used to is not pleasant at first, that's a bit of human nature I guess.

... now I'm more intrigued about the new steering wheel model until the T-Cross is delivered ... great!

I am slowly getting the feeling you bought a moderately equipped car, on purpose, just for the fun of making it a very richly equipped car Just like you did to your Polo 6R
PS, did you use canbus wiring for this?

Well, it's not exactly like that, but something similar ... you know.
I assure you that we were already very lucky buying this Golf, due to the manufacturing date 08/2018, the units level installed from factory, and the DKRF engine.
The wiring for the washer jet heater elements came with the set from Aliexpress. Everything is correct except the wiring.
I had to modify it due to mismatch of wire colors, the orange/green wire (PIN 1) was dedicated to ground and the orange/brown (PIN2) was dedicated to BCM signal, I cut the end terminals and crimp a new MQS to the orange/green wire.
I'll crimp the ground terminal when I determine the exact length of the wire to the ground point...
I also improved the cloth tape ...because I have a Coroplast tape that is great for outdoors (and expensive). Excellent bonding, insulation and thermal resistance.

My intention is to make all the improvements in one go, so that I don't have to disassemble/remove the panels, bumpers and other parts a million times ...

Golf 7.5 From Park aid (PDC 8K) to Park assist steering (PLA 3.0 12K).
1st
With PDC 8K I think our Golf has the ABS bi-directional sensors on the rear axle from the factory.
-Braking function during maneuver.
I bought the sensors WHT003864B, but I'll have to check it with VCDS before installing them.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 1122661309 (My ABS Byte26 = F0 )
https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread ... post185693
Front Bumper (full wiring)
Interior
+ two added wires in the 'Lane Change' harness for PLA rear sensors.
Rear Bumper (full wiring)
Supports, original tool for holes, the 4 new sensors.
Super polyurethane glues and paint (LC9A - pure white) for the supports.

VCDS How to restore all adaptation channels of a module-unit.
https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/con ... ls-map.php
Appearance of the generated file:
-Go to the Logs folder of the VCDS program.
-Open the adphex file with the appropriate program.
-When generating a file with Raw Hex, the values are indicated in Hexadecimal.
In case you want to restore all the adaptations of a module, transfer this file to the desktop,
it will be requested when you select 'Restore adaptations' + 'Raw Hex' + 'Go'.

Golf 7.5 From IC with black and white display (factory) to IC with color display.
It would be a shame if the IC seen in the image above ended up in the trash with only 700 km.
Ready2Go...
The Active Info Display at another time ... who knows.

Painted PLA sensor supports.
- 4 thin layers of paint, 10-15 m between layers.
- 3 thin layers of glossy varnish, 10-15 m between layers.
Use a mask with a level of protection for workshops as a personal protection measure. Acrylic varnish is highly toxic.

Do the Golf bumpers have indications on where to drill for the PLA sensors, or you have to make them on your own?
