Cheers, I dont know really- I know the cars booked into be colour sanded
to achieve a paint finish like glass but for the exterior I think thats as far as it goes- I may colour code the lights though.
Its in the mechanics I want to spend time on,
future plans include;
-Getting a better carb off overmind
-A sportier cam
-A break servo unit
- upgrading to gti brakes
- upgrading the shocks
- a little lower up front
Also I am planning for a full re-trim in cream vynnil
and also a little more paint work
with some more stereo equipment and upgrading my alarm system. [mabey some t3 vents and murel work on the front wings!!].

More pictures coming soon-
this is one of the car from back in the day after its 2nd respray,
i thought that badboy eyebrow took away from the classic lines of the car
- fair enough if youve got a body kit but it just looks stupid on a standardish car.

yeah the non-badboy debadged grille looks much better.
A very nice mk2 there!

As badboys go that wasn't too bad, but I don't much like them anyway tbh.. looks much better without

Have to ask, what's the hole in the grille for..?

At a guess its for the cold air feed possibly? Any side on pics? I'm liking what I've seen so far.

Correct-a-mondo! the hole in the grill feeds cold air directly onto the bolt on
- makes a huge difference in the summer!
And yes Karl, this weekend side on pics will be posted-its just that its declared as off the road now as the MOTS due
and my neighbours would report me if I took it out!, although come thursday it will be back on the road.
Thanks guys for the possitive feedback so far!!

Are your neighbours really that s**t that they'd report you just for parking it on the road for a few minutes?

Must be fun living next door to them..
Must lay my hands on a bolt on filter like yours.. I took mine for a drive without the airbox on the other day as I needed to test something out and couldn't be bothered to refit everything.. sounded -so- much nicer

Where did yours come from?

yeah my neibours really are that bad!! I got my K and N mail order but you can order them from most places- ill c if I can get you a price tomorow from my mate with his own business, what carb are you running? I made the cold air feed out of a speaker base tube!!

I'm running a weber 32TLA, standard replacement carb for a 1.0, same fittings as the pierburg 1B3 - if you wouldn't mind getting me a quote it'd be great, something for future reference as this is definately something I'd like to lay my hands on when my immediate concerns (MoT...) are out of the way
Btw - speaker bass tube as cold air feed - that's my kind of bodgery, just what I like to see
