Try this....
1. go to
http://mappoint.msn.com/DirectionsFind.aspx
2. Choose Address In="Norway" and City="haugesund" for start
3. Choose Address In="Norway" and City="trondheim" for finish

i'm sure autoroute 2004 uses the same database..i always end up lost following its advise.

autoroute can offer some alarming cock-ups from time to time. always pays to proof-read any directions it gives you (or have them just as a GTA-type "arrow guide" with a real map as backup) and occasionally iron out inexplicable boo-boos with a half ton of micro-managed "stops" (waypoints/vias).

thats probably how it notes it - take ferry from oslo to harwich or something
