EPC

Hey All,
Driving along today and the 'EPC' lights comes on
- its been light most for most of the time ive been driving today 
bit weird to me
what does it stand for? what needs to be done?!
I'm hoping this is a costly sort of thing as it may be the end of the month but there isnt much leway at the moment lol
