Springs

anyone have a DIY guide to fitting springs to a mk5??Or have any tips?cheers

Unless you really know what you're doing- I honestly wouldn't bother. It's a very dangerous job to somebody who doesn't know what to do.

Easy job - if you've done stuff like this before - not so easy if you haven't - you can get things horribly wrong with camber as a result of unbolting the bottoms of the shocks.......

I don't want to be patronising but take it to any fast fit centre and it will probably be fairly cheap and done well..

If you are really burning with ambition to tackle it yourself PM me or say here and I'll do my best to try and point you in the right direction

The biggest problem will be buying spring compressors and the right size torx bits and sockets and breaker bars to get it all undone - by the time you've bought all that it's cheaper to get someone else to do it........

You aren't local to me either so I can't help out

not too difficult, speaking from experience, took my dad and i a whole saturday to fit my coil-over's saving me about 400 quid labour i was quoted!
and we are no mechanics! just followed a max power guide and the instructions that came with the suspension 8)

humm well i'll think about it and see.Actually it all depends on the price does anyone remember the username of the other guy who lives in belgium?need to ask hims questions about the mot and stuff.cheers
