FAO: Members with smooth boots!

Hey,
Well MOT is coming up and I've smoothed my boot but my bloody soilenoid kit isn't working!! This is the second kit I have had now and both have been un-sucessfull.
So the question is. Could anyone with a smooth boot that is using a solenoid kit please take pics of where/how it is fitted as the main problem im having is that the wire isnt staying tight so it dosn't pull the catch. Please please please!!!
Also where did you buy your solenoid kit from ? and any other suggestions welcome!
