gear knob

has anybody changed theirs?

if so can you quickly run through how you did it?

i am a little confused as to how to do it.

It`s easy.
In a polo 9N you only have to retire the part that is fixed to the central console. Is fixed by 4 pression clips, 2 in front and 2 rear near the corners of the piece.
Then there is "something like a clip" ( I don't know how do you say that in english) that fixes the knob to the other part. You have to open it with care because if you broke that piece you would have problems to fix the knob later, or buy another.
Then with a bit of force extract the old knob from his place.
The worst is mount the new.
It depends of the knob

hmmmm will it be the same for the mk6 9n though?
that guide is for the mk4/5 6n/6n2.

it looks similar but not identicle.

I think the principle is the same - Might be wrong tho.....

It's the same thing thats on the tutorial. The only difference I can find is that the boot is not held with a elastic but with staples.
