Simple enough.
Should my crossover's be as close to my components as possible or does it not matter?
Just bought Diamond Audio HEX s600s 6.5" components for the front pods.
Amped up with an Alpine MRV T320, 80watts RMS
6.5 " R-Type components in the back running off Alpine-CDA 7873R head unit.
10" R-Type Sub running off an Alpine MRV T320
Thanx

Dont think it makes any difference. some people have crossovers in the boot with the amp and run 8 wires down the car, others have them in the doors/dashboard, and just run the 4 wires from the amp to the crossovers.

wellllll my own rear speakers.... they salvaged from a home stereo.... the crossovers are still in the original position, attached to a board directly between the bass and treble. So "up close" seems to work fine.
i dont think it makes any difference either, though, to be honest.

As for dynamat, how bout this amount?
since pic was taken the floor is done and roof, basically any metal bits have been covered.

X-overs should be as close as possible to the woofer. But if you put it in the back one probably won't notice the difference. It's just one of those concepts.
Mine are near the passenger foots. I didn't put them in the doors because of the humidity.

awww well thats good guess on my part cos mine are in the front. By putting them in the front you use less cabel as well as you only have to run two cables from the amp down the side of the car

Depend on what you want to do. If you want to bi-wire your speakers then you will need 4cables for pair of speakers: two for tweater and two for the woofer. =)
