Just wondering whether someone could point me in the right direction for wheels. Iv got steelies at the mo and looking to go for the euro look.

Whats the widest wheel i can legally fit on a 98 polo&with what offset?Im looking no bigger than a 15"(of course). What tyres would also be required? and how much could i comfortably lower it by?
Is there any wheels you would recomend :?:

Cheer's

most common is the good old 15x7 inch wheel offset at about 32 - 35mm, with 195x45x15 tyres.

you can go wider of course, 8 inches and even 9 inches (at the rear) is possible, but you need lots of stretch on the tyres to get away with it, and sometimes the arches pulled out slightly, a higher offset helps out too.

as a rule, anything wider than 195 tyres start to rub, 205's might be possible with an offset of 40+., but it's not as common.

cheers

p.s. styledynamix do some good wheels.

You're pushing the limit somewhat, but I reckon you'll be fine. What wheels exactly?

Mine's on the same setup except with ET32 and half an inch narrower

so you're about another 13mm further out wheel wise in total, but

I personally think it will rub over bumps. I had to swap my front and rears over to stop rubbing _just_ because the tyres were slightly wider in shape at the back (they were both 195's tho).

What is i wasnt to lower it as much, cause im thinking of getting coilovers, so i could adjust it to suit???!Will i still beable to get full lock on the steering wheel with out scrubing?

oops i forgot to finish my sentence!

i was going to say 13mm further out wheel wise, but you still have the narrower tyres, so say 7mm further out cos of the offset.

with adjustable then I wouldn't worry at all. you'll be fine on full lock by the way. it's just the rears which will rub, in my opinion.
