Don't you just hate it when you've just washed your car and then a bird lets go all over it ?

Well I washed mine and went inside, when I looked outside I couldn't believe what I saw, a Peacock standing on my car emptying it's bowels.

I didn't know whether to run outside to shoo the bird away or get my camera. :|

By the time I got my camera the bird was off it anyway. I'm not sure where it came from but it's gone now!

Anyway I took a couple of photos (not of the offensiveness on the bonnet)

It's now cleaned and shiney as new again

FYI the best thing to get birds` presents off paint is a big old greenie but if you havnt got a cold then use just spit
however get it off asaop as there are acids in that "stuff" that will etch into the paint

Luckily the car was still wet and it was easy to remove!

I'm over the shock now though, it was a lot more than the usual. But then he was on top of the car, usually they fly over and spread it out more

Also I think it was getting me back.

I had a slight incident with a sparrow yesterday that left me needing to remove the grille. Luckily the little thing survived (I'm not sure how!).

Although seeing two small feet sticking out the front of your car is an alarming sight.

Talk about a way to voice your opinion!! :P

JK

I had to wipe the remains of a Pheasant off my windscreen two days after I passed my test, not nice :?

James, have you thoughts about lowering yet? Even with my 30 mil it makes such a difference :D

I'm quite happy with it how it is at the moment!

Is yours 30 mil on top of the 20mil sports suspension or 30 mil from standard. I'm not sure how it works. :?

Oh, and if it looks a bit high, I've been running without the spare wheel over the weekend to see if it makes much difference. The only noticable thing is I get around 52 mpg instead of 48.

once had a swan attack my car. apparently they see the reflextion and think its another swan! its was a miracle its didn't scratch the paint, and that the stone hit its head (and not my car :P ) that'll teach it.

The actual drop on the standard VW suspension I have now found out is only 10 mil instead of what I previously claimed 20 mil (I was thinking Audi drop would be the same as VW). So the lowering would make your car 20 mil lower, but theres also the handling benefits :P

Thats good news your getting better MPG without the spare as I could have sworn I was getting the same, but I obviously couldn't tell because I don't have a MPG computer :(
The reason I'm noticing SLIGHT better acceleration is because I have a smaller engine and less power therefore my engine is allot more weight sensitive. An example being that new 800kg Diahatsu (SP?) Supermini with 57bhp that can do 0-62mph in twelve seconds!!

I think I'll leave the spare in the car. It'll look better and apart from the mpg (which is v.good anyway) there arn't many improvements for me.

I don't think it'll make that much difference lowering 20mil more than it is, not for the price anyway.

I'm sure the difference between standard and sports suspensio is 20mm not 10mm. I've parked next to one and it looks quite a bit more! :?

I think the next thing will be sorting the bodykit out and the sports exhaust. Also I can get a chip from superships which makes and increase of up to 12hp in the FSi! It's around £230 and next to nothing to fit it. So I'd perfer that over suspension!

I have the rear part of the body kit but I'm sure there's a different part that allows for the sports exhaust. I might try to find out more otherwise I'll have to cut it for the exhaust to fit.
