I am to purchase some wheels like we all do :D
The steels are rather annoying!
now i have the money for the alloys but not for the lowering

is it going to look stupid or ok?

does any one else have 15 inch rims on 195/45/15 tyres (not lowered?)

Cheers in advance

Hi

Lowering is cheap (ish) unless you want to go real low - mine on 15's before lowering - bit like it's on stilts but was fine till I got some cheap springs

I think 195/45/15 will bi better when car is lowered, till than IMHO 195/50/15 would be better. I will use 195/50/15 after lowering cause 195/50/15 has the lowest price (of 15" ) in Slovenia.

cool

ok well i can get 195/50/15 with the alloys
or pay the £20 extra to get all four as 195/45/15

when it comes to renewing the tyre is it really expensive for 45s rather than 50s

Get the 45's - at least then your speedo will remain as accurate as it currently is!!!

My Polo GTi on 15" rims wearing 195/45/15s, standard:

I've bought Eibach springs but can't fit them for a while yet, long story  but going for the '45' profile tyre means you won't have to worry about replacing the '50' profile tyre when you lower the car, plus the lower-profile sidewall looks better IMHO...

Fabric and A/C I'm afraid :) when I bought the car a second black 3-door GTi was there but VW were asking a £1000 premium for the leather upholstery
