Well its almost time to go insearch of a bigger car :-(

I will be sorry to part with my beloved polo but insurance prices have come down a bit now so i will be buying a bigger car soon.

so if anyone is interested in a j reg 1ltr saloon recently converted to a Gt saloon, it will be up for sale in the next couple of months with a full list of things done and some nice pics of it in all its shiny glory.

Let me know if you want to change the engine back to standard, you know to help sell it on

But that's sad, anyone else have a mk3 saloon now? I do see them around but they seem rarer than a G40 these days.

How much you looking for?

Not that I need to buy another car right now.

:)

lol, I was thinking more along the lines of an Audi coupe quattro 8)

Offers in region of £1000, will have 6months tax and be tested until october.
Anyone who has seen it can vouch for the condition of it..and you only need ask madmatt what i'm like at getting him to put new parts on it (even when he tells me over and over the old ones fine). Lowered 40mm, p slots, conti tyres in almost new condition, mini disc HU, bla bla bla..full list on advert.

I've got one! it's just a 1.3 NZ though & to be fair it's pretty tatty. only paid £200 for it though & I've driven all over the country in it. paulg40 has a saloon with a tuned G40 engine in it.

Can't fault you on the choice of car Metz, I saw a nice silver G-reg Audi Coupe Quattro on my way to work this morning, I was just thinking then how nice they are.

Mk3 saloons are rare? Polo estates are like hen's teeth too - I saw one here at the weekend but before that, no sign of one for over 12 months :)

Audi coupe quattro sounds nice though 8)

Cheers hayesey n Si_GTi, since mate got his ur quattro back from the bodyshop i have been driving around in it quite a bit and i just love the solid feel to them with precise handling.

Even though the ur quattro is too expensive insurance and maintainence wise i thought a coupe quattro would be the next best thing.
I'll be sorry to see the polo go as i have poured my heart, soul and most of my cash into it over the last year so its gotta go to an enthusiast.

you mean one of these?

I used to own this one, theyre really good cars, probably the only (almost) new car I like. best going for the MK5 as it comes with the updated dashboard (but still looks like a mk4 on the outside apart from the clear indicators/side repeaters etc etc) And I recommend either the tall block 1.6 petrol (100bhp) or the 1.9 TDi (90 or 110 bhp) Mine was the 90bhp version but the 110 is a much better engine. (more power, torque and better economy! :o ) Get one with a height adjustable seat though as i had real problems with my knees being on the steering wheel, which was one of the main reasons i sold it. Id definately own one again but Id go for the top of the range on next time.

Good luck with whatever you do anyway tris lets hope an enthusiast takes that minter of a saloon off your hands.
