M G is nearly ready for the road again

Had a day off of work to use up my holiday entitlement before april (with the new girlfriend :wink: ) so i went down PSD to pick up my Helix paddle clutch

I'm just waiting for my GT inlet manifold

to turn up and my BMW 530 td front mount intercooler modded end tanks to be fitted and my car will finally be ready to be used on the road again 8)

This is what i have left to fit before my car goes back on the road;

1) lightened flywheel
2) paddle clutch
3) overhauled gearbox
4) toothed pulleys/belt
5) Front mount intercooler and figure out the piping for it
6) full blend charger with blanking plate
7) GT inlet manifold after modding it to accept no 8
8.) 51mm TB
9) Green injectors
10) SNS stage v chip
11) oil ctach tank and pipes

and carry out a service including cam belt and all filters

sure is gonna be good when its back on the road! can't wait to get mine all sorted! gonna be about a month i reckon! :cry:

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the advantage of the paddle clutch? Looks very weird :D

More clamping force can be aplied to the friction material therefore increasing the clutches ability to handle more torque

Better heat disapation than a standard clutch so less chance of judder (four contact points instead of a total contact with flywheel allowing heat to escape)

power doesn't kill clutches, torque does!!
