i ended up with the old warm air pipe flapping about.and a hole where the old cold air pipe came out of that crappy plastic thing on the left hand side of the engine as you look into it.
so i taped up the old cold air hole. reconnected the warm air so it gets warm air through the side down that gap towards the wheel arch.and put the switch thing (on base of old airbox) back on as it looked like it might be vital.
car works fine, when booting it gives an induction/throttly noise.
as for extra bhp

but sounds good.
i also put another cold air feed from the right side of the filter cone as you look into the bay and linked it into the grill.
does anyone know if you still actually need that warm air pipe though???

dont have to declare all mods.
anyway im quite happy with my insurance policy £33 a month and im only 20.
if anything goes wrong i'd rather foot the bill than go through insurance company as would only increase my premium even if i only claim for a screw that fell off.

that's a good policy you have - who's that with? I have to declare al;l mine even tho it doesn't increase the premium.
as a note: you wouldn't foot the bill if you paralysed someone through a crash. or someon claimed whiplash, or any personal claims to that matter, not unless you have tens of thousands saved up in a piggy bank!
it's worth declaring everything if they ask for it, because the insurance company will try to get out of anything if it can.
