Hi. Am looking at getting some good quality coilovers. I have heard nothing but good from H&R after speaking to people.

Are these possibly the best coilovers to get?

WHat are the advantages and disadvantges to them?

How much do they generally cost new?

The set below which fit my car sold on ebay 2nd hand (see link below) for £420.00 which makes me realise they are going to be well expensive new, and it looks like they lower 100mm which is good:

Yeh. But for them to go for £420 proves they have to be pretty special.

im pretty sure that i read somewhere that you can't get hold of H&r coil-overs
that go to -100mm.
i'll find the website later today where it said that due to safety regulations on uk roads, they were welding pieces to all new h&r coil-overs to stop the -100mm drop, whatever next!
whether this was true or not i dont know.

Yes, H&R is quality stuff. I prefer KW because KW uses oil-filled Koni inserts, wheras H&R uses gas filled shocks. Both have their advantages, but for normal driving, oil tends to be more forgiving, making the ride nicer. Also, make sure the H&R's are treated to counter rust, either through galvanising or otherwise. KW comes rust-proof since a few years.

how much are the average set of kw's?

Any ideas of where i could get the "c" spanner needed to adjust the h&k coilovers height?

Just asking on behalf of a friend who wants to slam his h&k's for the summer. amd he has lost the tool

KW is about the same price as H&R, both are higher-end products.
