Hi all,
I've gone to halfords to change my headlight bulbs but they said they don't do the conversion bulbs anymore. They called them H12's but i can't find any info on the net about them. They still do the type 410s though.
Any ideas where i can get a conversion type bulb? And is it really called H12?
Mines are the round ones shaped like the normal house bulbs. They are called type 410 and they are 45/40w.
I need halogens rated 60/55w i think.

I know the one you mean (fasten's in by a ring) had them in mine ,couldn't find replacement either so i got new headlight's and fitted uprated H4 bulb's to them much better lighting imo.

A bit more stubborn research, and i think i found them. The bulbs are called HB12 P45T
HB12 stands for the reference, just like the old ones being 410 (from halfords at least)
and the P45T stands for the base of the bulb. The modern ones are more like P43T.
Here's a link I found that shows the difference.

I hope my wiring handles it though...

got them from
www.yourcarparts.co.uk for 8.98 inc p&p for the pair.
It's the cheapest with p&p. I checked at least 10 other places.

Mm, mine has one of the old type and one of the new type (bought a new headlamp to get through the MoT, then found that the bulbs were different

Mine has an H4 conversion bulb anyway, so no real difference, apart from the connector..
