or in other words still pimping for interest amongst those who might not usually look in the for sale section

http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=10887

mk3 hatch, 1.0 4 speed, navy blue
81k miles
in fair condition but could do with an all-over sprucing
and of course the engine is up for an overhaul
many bits and bobs sorted with it during it's life, i've just reached something that's a 4-spanner rating when i'm only a 2 and a half.

other more sprawling details in the linked thread

it looks pretty clean there dude, but you need to lose the poppy. (can I expect an essay on why its there?)

Your best bet is stick it on autotrader or ebay. You might be better reverting to standard to make a few more quid. I sold some clocks like that for £35 last month! :D

Im not sure too many ppl would be interested on here, its more of a first car rather than something that someone might want to do a project on, weve all had one (mine was a silver 1.3CL) but I couldnt shift it on any forums and I ended up trading it in and got £550 for it. Only person off the top of my head that may be interested is 86c, but he might just use it for parts to save other polos.

update the one you put up on porka with them pics as well (if you havent already)

hm i was hoping for a little more interet but i guess i might be better off trying places where decent knock-down cars are in shorter supply and people dont already have motors :D

never mind

the poppy is there simply because i paid my dues to my grandparents and greatgrandparents generation last november and got a couple bits of coloured plastic and a wire tie for my troubles. Plus the badge is slightly scuffed... also gives the car a nice and reasonably different look :)
(and it's going to be a bastard to remove!!)

*whispers* picture does it too much justice by the way, but don't let on.. *whispers*

it has kinda got to the point now that if i spend two hours reverting it to stock i'll probably double my profit, yeah... already swapped the silver wheels off after all (though in deference to having got em free off here, i'll only sell em for the worth of the tyres). could do clocks, stereo, handles, gearlever... maybe the chip. wonder if its worth swapping the shiny boot badge back for the scuffy one, and the seats back to the nasty worn (and non-headrest) jobs, if they havent rotted in nans garage yet?

(she's supposed to be getting it renovated and damp-proofed, but in a wierd catch 22 twist my aunt cant get her arse in gear to remove all her old crap out of there and take it to the tip - hence everything in there is going mouldy... and i've been banned from interfering)

cmon roll up surely someone wants an old banger just to prat around in and then learn some engine maintenance obligation / risk-free?
