well, now i have a new gear box

only its the gearbox from a polo mk 4 1 litre
and not a polo mk4 1.4
which is pretty funny
reconditioned gearbox sourced from tameside transmissions, they're gonna sort it out after easter for free and fit me a 1.4's gearbox
the funny thing is the car is well quick now
ok so it takes loads more revs to do any particular speed, the 5th is now almost exactly like my old 4th gear
and it now will only do about 100 absolute tops and no more
but its races about well fast lol
(still the economy will be pants)
