Car Missing Horribly

So I had this problem twice. Once i was going slowly, turned left, put 3rd gear and hit the accelerator because the road was uphill, the car started to miss horribly, I thought that I had put 5th gear instead of 3rd, so inserted 2nd gear and the same thing. The car started working on 3 pistons, so I went straight home and the day after went to the mecchanic (who works with local volkswagen as a mecchannic) We figured out which piston was missing, and he just removed the suppressor, put in again the lead and there it goes, worked perfectly.....

...until 3 days ago the same thing happened. So this time, I went home, pulled out all spark plugs and cleaned them all. replaced them, but it still worked on 3 cyclinders. I figured out which cylinder was not working, removed the suppressor, and it worked ok on idling!!!!!   :!: I was totally shocked.

So to prevent any other problems like this, I removed all suppressors from the leads, put them in place and went for a drive to see if everthing was ok. Idling was working fine, but on heavy accelleration the car worked on 3. So took it back home, and reseted the ecu (disconnect the battery for some time). When ready, took it for a drive and it worked perfectly.

I thought to place this here if anything similar happens to anyone.

Cheers
