Hi

Just bought a polo 1.6 CL. Im having problems whenever starting.

When starting up it requires a bit of gas it revs up but then just drops.

To get around it I rev it for over 20 seconds and it was ok. Idling was fine.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Any answers would be much appreciated.

cheers

I don't know the answer but if you bought the car from a garage then they should fix it (sale of goods act)

cheers for the reply

got the car off someone i know knew it had the problem but hadnt investigated it any further.

I think im going to put some fuel injector cleaner. Also gonna get the ecu checked see what the outcome is.

cheers

I noticed this morning when it warmed up the revs are ok just needs warming to get the idling ok. Would this still be caused by an air leak??

if so where do i start checking for air leaks?

sorry just a newbie to this.

I have put injecter cleaner through the car. Car seems slight better in the morning the revs sort themselves out a bit more quicker.

but have to give it gas to start up.

any ideas what i can check now???
