the guy wants 200 quid for it but will let it go for any sensible offer as don't wanna see the car scrapped after he's part exchanged it.
It's a LX model in metallic blue, on an X plate ('81), 3 door, 3 owners from new. 103K miles. Taxed and mot (till oct). 4 speed. Daily driver. No rust on doors or tailgate. Has had replacement wing sometime in it's life, but looks good. No rust around bottom of windscreen. Front and rear valance look solid with just the usual surface rust at join with lower wings and rear quarters. All suspension mounts rock solid, no sign of welding undermeath car. All light lenses are sound with no cracks and all glass is original. Dash is in good condition as is the rest of the seats and carpets. Paint on one wing (origninal) starting to bubble and rear arches looking a bit scabby (benefit from taking back to metal + repainting).
The car oozes retro and i would love to take it on - but sense and reasoning has to stop me as van costing me a small fortune.
Someone has gotta buy this car - just think of all the mk1/ old school / nostalgia displays it could go into Alternatively it would make a cool daily ride with cheap tax and running costs!
Let me know if interested so i can give you the guys phone number. The car is in Halesowen. It needs to be sold before Friday as that's when he has to part ex it at the worst case scenario.
Cheers
