DECKING IT

At the moment my car is currently decked 40mm on r15 45/195 alloys. However I want to go lower!, 60mm? The wheels at the front are all ready rubbing the top of the arches so I know ill have to do arch work but has any one done this drop?
I want to know the disadvantages and avantages to doing it, its just that I think it needs to be a little bit lower for the perfect stance.
Also handling, will it be unbearable to drive the car around?
Since i put my 15s on the steering has felt quite unstable too, is it down to over inflation of the tyres?

Your gonna have more problems lowering more than 40mm on 15's. I would say leave it at 40mm or get smaller wheels/tyres

Nope I'll put money on the fact that you haven't had the tracking reset
- Crashes when it hits bumps
- twitchy in straight ahead
- tucks on corners
Inside edges of your front tyres will soon be FUBAR

On the steelies you could probably go about 60mm but imo i think you should get a set of nice 13's/14's with low profiles and take it 70mm+

i'm on 70mm at the moment dude and the only thing i'm going to say is......
DO IT
Still on the standard steelies and oh my god does it handle.
I went for the Gmax full kit, shocks and springs. Wouldn't do the rears yourself though unless you have spring compressers. trust me you will see why when you do them

the nut in the top inside the car is what holds the shocker in

weird design!
