Gti splitter and rear spoiler

Hi all.
Where's the best place to get myself a gti splitter and rear spoiler. Does anyone know if the rear spolier will take into account the break light? And can the front splitters come ready to paint

Hi mate.
Not sure about the rear spoiler but you can pick up the front splitter from your local VW garage for a god price, I believe its under £40. It comes in a dark grey finish but you can prime and paint it if you choose!
The rear spoiler, well if you get a VW spoiler it has a brake light in it already so I guess you would have to rewire from the old one to the new... not sure on this one!

i believe they are bonded on, my old mk4's was.

ahh I see, was wondering thanks
p.s. there are two versions of the break light, one designed for the spoiler and one normal, so if does not come with, you would need to get it, the wiring should be exactly the same

Inder, are you saying that there are two versions of the spoiler? If i got the original vw spoiler that would mean there is two breaklights?
Wouldn't that look a bit strange

Its really simple, if ur car dont have a spoiler as standard it will have the break light on already, then u need to get the spoiler without one. If ur changing ur spoiler and it dont have a break light on the car get one with it.
It wont work with 2, not sure if its a good idea if it will..

yup vw will only supply the non-brake light rear spoiler for mk5's
though i got mine off ebay for a steal
and yeah bonded on, not screwed like a certain fiesta round here!

what bugs me about that spoiler is he calls it a 'boot spoiler' isn't it supposed to be 'hatch spoiler'?
that is the same one as i have, i think.
not really that big just in the pic where its on the car, its tilted more at an angle than mine is.

yeah i just want a standard looking one without the breaklight. You reckon the votex one is ok?? Where can i get hold of one of them, VAG??

That boot spoiler on flebay is defo bigger than standard, it would defo stick out further than a VAG one !
I got a genuine VAG one off flebay for £50 delivered !

Got a votex rear spoiler from VAG, looks nice
. Just waiting for my gti grills and splitter then i'll be sorted
