Golf 1.3 rocker cover??

Would one of these fit my GT?? I saw it down a local scrappy and it looks pretty funky!
I'm sure it would polish up pretty nicely!!

Yes, that will fit nicely. They are cast ally cam covers that are fitted to some Mk 2 Polo's too. They are not very common though. You can easily polish them up by rubbing them down smooth and they look very good.

looking at it, I think that polishing it would be a complete arsehole. I polished up a mk3 8v cover for my Golf and it took me sooooo long to do and it is a flatter shape than the 1.3 r/c....
A little flat black paint on the other hand would look sexy as hell!!

They are quite easy to polish up. You could maybe paint it, then polish the raised flat area on the top. I have one of these rocker covers too, which I have already started to polish up.

looks good. very good!! How did you polish inside the raised bits?? with a drill and small bits?

Preparation involved sanding it down with wet and dry till it was smooth, then polishing with a piece of cloth into all the difficult bits.
Hard work, but worth it.

Nice!
Will I be able to fit a similar cover to a 1.3CL Polo? I've got a flaking and rusty black item at the moment...
I quite fancy the idea of getting it powdercosted in somethign a little bit different (Purple will clash with white?) and then polishing the raised vee-dub badge.
